Blackberry Infused Mojito
Ladies and gents, meet the blackberry infused mojito. My favorite part of making this cocktail is I have all the ingredients readily available in my cupboard or in my garden when the season is ripe (berries, baby!!). It’s so simple and so fancy looking, this cocktail is bound to charm anyone you know. Let’s do this.
Blackberry Infused Mojito
Makes four cocktails
8-12 blackberries
40+ mint leaves
16 lime wedges
9 tsp. powdered sugar
9 oz. Angostura white rum
Club soda
Jumbo Ice Cubes (buy tray here)
Tools needed:
Muddler
Small pitcher
Tumbler glasses
No. 1: Pre-cut your mint leaves. Rinse, pat dry, and pile. Roll into a pinwheel, and then using a sharp chef’s knife, slice thinly.
No. 2: In a small pitcher, place blackberries and half of the lime wedges and muddle fiercely until perfectly pulped. Add the remaining lime wedges (reserve four to garnish), sliced mint leaves, and powdered sugar. Muddle to perfection again.
No. 3: Add jumbo ice cubes to the pitcher. Pour the white rum over the ice to chill.
No. 4: Distribute evenly in tumblers, about 2/3 full. Top off with club soda, and stir.
No. 5: Garnish tumblers with lime wedges and blackberries. Serve immediately!
