I’ll be completely honest, I lost an entire week plus worth of work on my guest room to a bout with the worst cold of my life (and still recovering). 😤 Nevertheless, I worked diligently from bed the worst days and I’ve scouted what I believe are the top five colorful, desert jungle chic bedrooms out there.

To me, it’s always the best looking for inspiration and NOT finding it because I truly believe that’s a challenge from the gods to create something completely new and different. Game on, gods. Game on.

Right now, I’m debating a furniture reconfiguration and the definite color of my hallway. I’ve gone completely out of my mind here with three very different samples to try—deep teal, chartreuse, and blush.

1. Lush + Glam

I’m going for a desert chic vibe, but there’s no doubt a little bit of the tropics will be in the mix. I’m smitten with the coral, blush and green pops in here, most especially the gold accent in the bed frame and and various well-curated elements of home decor.

2. A Taste of Sunshine

Hello, I love you. Who DOESN’T love Elsie Larson’s sun-shiny guest room?! I’ve been daydreaming of this space since it’s debut. I love the bold choice to wallpaper the entire room in Justina Blakeney’s yellow Nana tiles, the now iconic rattan bed from Anthropologie, and this perfect painted desert rug from Lulu + Georgia that ties in the entire space. Can you say SWOON?!!

3. Modest + Bright

There’s something special about this room. Maybe it’s the complimentary color choice of a velvet sage green bed frame and a reddish tribal rug. Perhaps it’s the monochrome textile play in the bedding (love!!). Maybe it’s the really cute puppy cuddled up on the bed. Whatever it is, I’m getting real damn good vibes for bold color and serenity all at once.

4. Subtle Yet Vibrant

I love simplicity. Now only if I could keep things simple. 😂 The mustard gold and green color play in this room makes my heart go pitter patter, yo. I love how this room manages to underplay the parquet floors with modern accents, greenery and vibrant color selections against a light and airy backdrop. My kinda design mind.

5. Desert Meets Jungle

If I had a colorful bedroom wet dream, this would be it. Sorry, it’s just true. I LOVE THIS BEDROOM. That wall color is so bold, and quite frankly, so perfect I can barely stand it. The aquamarine and canary yellow (which I can’t even believe I’m drooling over so much!) are a radiant match made in heaven. The addition of desert and tropical greens makes for a fabulous fusion as well. Just take me now, will you?! 🤤
