Can you believe Easter is this weekend?! This is madness. Time is moving waaayyy too quickly, you guys. I’ve been hustling to make this the best damn blog you’ve ever read, so time is evading me. 🙄 Between that, my first one room challenge, and a trip to Cheecago this week (!!!), this create-a-holic needed some easy DIY Easter decorations to pull this year together in a pinch. I scoured the Pinterest heavens high and low, and I came up with some pretttty good ones. Sans the cheese. Us gals, we like a classy Easter. Know what I’m sayin’?! Yeah, you do.
On a related note: last year we had a last-minute, Mexican-inspired Easter. Instead of the typical fare, we’ve chowed down on homemade salsa and guac as well as carne asada and beer-battered fish tacos. Mojitos and Margaritas were the drink of choice. We skipped the Tres Leches. We may or may not have dolled up all the old-fashioned paper mâché bunnies with sombreros and felt ponchos. We may have all worn sombreros at the dinner table thrifted from Goodwill. We may have. The things you do when you decide screw the pineapple ham; I want tacos dammit.
The time has come: Impress your holiday guests with one (or five!!) of these eight easy DIY Easter decorations:
Cactus Easter Eggs by Delia Creates
How cute are these?!!! These cactus Easter eggs would make the perfect addition to what may or may not be a second round of a Mexican-inspired Easter … Seriously, I just want tacos. 🌮🌮🌮
Bunny & Lamb Banner by Ella Claire Inspired
I’m such a sucker for vintage-style illustrations. I might be switching over to a mid century feel in the Brigham Craftsman, but there’s always gonna be an antique flair up in this. This banner adds just the right note to a modern eclectic home.
Printable Bunny Pillow Design by Kimber Dawn + Co.
Girrrl, who doesn’t love pillows?!! I thought this hand lettered design couldn’t be sweeter. Super clean and whimsical. Print this hip-hoppy dude on transfer paper, iron’er on a blank pillow, and voila! Easter supreme. Lurve. 🐰
Monochromatic Easter Egg Vases by Family Circle
Elegant Easter vignettes are a toughie! Coming across this simple, apothecary jar full of monochromatic eggs hit a home run in my book. Boring Easter displays, begone.
Rose & Gold Easter Eggs by Lily Ardor
Scandinavian Easter Eggs by Godfatherstyle
I’ll admit, it’s way too late to get a hyacinth to bloom out of your heirloom-looking Easter eggs, but how pretty is this?? Made me so happy it’s spring.
Pastel & Peonies Easter Tablescape by Em Henderson
Almost instantly after scanning this shot, I was ready to run over to Casa de Perrin and by a set of twelve. I’m not even sure if these plates belong to them, but it reminded me so much of their marvelously curated Instagram. The plates with the gold and pink peonies. I die. But seriously, find yo’self some white plates, a couple of pastel napkins, and a boatload of flowers. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. 🍗
Pastel & Tulips Easter Tablescape by Wit + Delight
Just another. Just because. I’m just going to buy out my florist and call it a day. 🌸🌷🌷
Bunny Pom Pom Garland by Create Craft Love
Lastly, a puffy bunny garland that’s so minimal and sweet, it’ll go well with anyone’s home. I’d like to drape twenty feet of this around my house.
