Hollywood Regency Glam Guest Room – The Design Board

Are you ready for the next big, fat, gaudy home design affair?!! This one’s got all the glitz and glam this gal can muster … for now. 😏 The Hollywood Regency Glam Guest Room redo is next-up at the Madison Estate, home to your favorite Vibrant Mid-Century Glam Living Room and Bold and Glammy Guest Bathroom transformations. 

This fine, funky and vaulted guest room (an add-on to the original contemporary home she’s in) is lathered in light by both the gargantuan picture windows and a big ol’ skylight. She’s got curves and doorways for days, albeit she’s stuck in a time gone by. Although, little Henry doesn’t seem to mind. Have a peek at where we’re starting out:

Well, sweet fronds; bye–bye coastal cottage days and helloooo swanky opulence. We’re are REA-DAY to up the boldness ante in the next chapter.

Galloping zeh-bras highlight the massive ceiling incline, while feisty feathers ground the vaulted ceiling and make the entire room go a’glitter and shine. Quite possibly the best part of this guest room remodel is the family heirloom swap-a-roo, which showcases the black mid-century cerused wood furniture my grandparents bought when they got married in 1957. The OG color name: chinchilla. Sah cute. 🦡🦡🦡

The vintage set took residence in my guest room for several years, but the space never felt fully finished. With all the fabulous fancy-dancy building up at the Madison Estate, it just felt like the right move and I happily let them go. Much to my Ma’s approval.
