Not gonna lie, I’m PUMPED for summertime. I’ve got sunshine and soirees on my mind. Oh, and my Mom’s new house has a pool to tie it all together. Pool = PARTAY. 🎉
When Patrón asked me to concoct a unique margarita to commemorate the fourth annual Margarita of the Year competition, you bet your bottom dollar I accepted. With seven succulent libations in the running—and just three left to vote for—we’ll soon find out who will be crowned this year’s margarita king / kween on none other than Cinco de Mayo.
Patrón tasked seven bartenders from around the globe to raise the bar with a fresh margarita recipe inspired by their local region. Ingredients like cayenne-chile, blackberry shrub, lychee and chia seeds and just a handful of clever and inspired takes on this classic tequila cocktail. Can you say YUM?! I’ll take one of each. Kthx.
If I were you, I’d shake-shake-shake your way over to MargaritaOfTheYear.com to cast your vote for your favorite, flavorful feat. Furthermore, this website is MAJOR eye candy. So GO. Go on now.
The Saucy Señorita is a play on my most-liked of the seven contenders—the North End Margarita—except with a smoky, tropical twist. If you need me, I’ll be planning a margarita makin’, Cinco de Mayo dinner party in celebrate with this year’s winner in *spirit.*
Give me any reason to celebrate; I’ll take it. 🥂🍾🍻🍸
